Key to my heart

The way blogging connects people never ceases to amaze me.  These ramblings about my Airstream (and other shiny silver things) have gifted me with knowing Kristiana, who is not only my silver sister, but my twin silver sister, at that.  

Through Kristiana's blog, I had the good fortune of meeting Meredith, another shiny silver soul, who, inspired by her Airstream trailer, created the most perfect trailer keychain I could ever have imagined.  The photo above really doesn't do it justice.  Trust me, it is WAY over to the right on the Cute Meter.  Now, even Stella's keys are stylish. The Amazing Kristiana Spaulding

 It's been a very long time since I've had that little girl feeling where you meet someone new and discover you have what seems like a million things in common and you can't wait to know her better, though you feel like you already do.  Hey, my favorite color is purple, too!  I think George is dreamier than Paul, too!  You love lime Jello?  No way!  Me, TOO! 

Finding Kristiana Spaulding's vintage trailers, jewelry, and blog was like that for me, except the cosmic sister stuff was more like I love vintage Airstream trailers, too!  Yes, and lots of other shiny silver things!  I blog about it, TOO!  I first saw her vintage 1967 Airstream Tradewind in Bruce Littlefield's book, Airstream Living, (just before I bought my '65 Caravel).  Kristiana is an amazing artist, specializing in shiny silver things, of course.  Click here to see her jewelry website, here for a tour of her studio trailer, and here to visit her blog.  

One of these days, Kristiana and I and our trailers will have to meet at a Vintage Airstream Trailer Club Rally.  Until then, I know what I'm getting myself for my birthday; a Kristiana Spaulding trailer necklace. I can hardly wait.
